I learned something new...
I only found out yesterday that when I have the cruise control on, if I flick the switch up it increases the speed and sets it on cruise....... I never knew this before as I had never previously flicked the switch more then once. Only to set the speed. Am I the only one?

I have used mine for this since I got the car, but unlike other cars I have had with cruise, it doesn't let you reduce the speed in the same way. Wish it did, I love cruise (bad knee), but I wish I could drive along using the steering wheel control like the accelerator pedal.

Yeah, I always wondered that too. It doesn't bother me too much that I can flick the bottom switch and wait for the car to reduce speed before deactivating cruise again. I do like the fact that you can use the switch to retain the previous speed again. Very handy.

In over 40 years of driving & all the numerous cars I've owned in that time I've never ever used the cruise control or A/C in any of those cars including my 75

Trade it all in for good quality parts made by people who know how to build things with proper materials, and with longevity built in, e.g. my Pentax LX film camera is now 30 years old, it was designed and built in Japan, and still works as well as the day it left the factory, cost then, 700 of your British pounds, a small fortune, a months salary then, yea I know a frightening experience. A modern Pentax DSLR recently purchased 500 of your same British pounds, 'assembled in the Philippines' build quality not as good will be pleased if it lasts half as long, you see modern electronics have destroyed engineering, just as Hollywood has destroyed 'method acting', and therefore acting as such. |

Lol You and me both Ian. I've had 40+ vehicles over the years, many with cruise control and AC, but! I have never used either option. SWMBO now Galaxy has cruise control and aircon, and we never use either. Partly the reason is... I'm not a fan of cruise control, and the AC makes you feel ill.
