Looks great exactly the same as mine!

If im honest its one of the most satisfying upgrades ive done. Wood wheels feel great.

Nice one!

Thanks guys for the comments, appreciated.

As I said, I did have some help with the leather re-trim from a retired re-trim specialist (hence the beer tokens, £50).

He's done a cracking job, and I got the finished wheel for £75 all in. I really am a tight person

I did buy an replacement rear cowl to go on the old wheel, to keep that complete, which cost another £10 & I already had the horns & radio controls which came off when I fitted the cruise kit. So apart from the Airbag I have the old complete wheel in the garage.

I fitted the Walnut dash at the same time, since the wheel coming off would give better access & the power needed to be off for both jobs. I did have issues with the far left air vent trim, had to fettle a little off the main dash aperture & swap one of the clips.

All in all, a nice lift for the interior.

Looks great Steven,

On my previous '75 I had my wheel changed for a wooden one and having experienced the difference it makes I made sure the latest '75 I bought had the wooden steering wheel.
I think my pet hate is that horrible wood effect steering wheel cover so many cars have to cover up the worn wheel.

The wood ones do feel so chunky and reassuring, amazing how a relatively small item can make such a difference to the driving experience.
