Headlamp refurb question
I need to refurb my headlamps. See pic
I’ve done it before successfully on another car so I know what to do with the kit with the different grades of abrasive paper, compound and polishing attachment for drill. But people say it’s best if you then apply a top coat to protect from further uv degradation. What top coat have folks used, how easy to apply, and with what medium/long term results? Thanks

I did mine about 18 months ago and left them naked so to speak. Since then they have only needed a light polish once.
I do however put wax polish on them, perhaps the wax has a UVA protection.

You need something with good UV protection.
Something like this: https://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/carpro-dlux-sealant-kit Remember that although it seems expensive you're only using a very small amount. Alternatively have a browse in Halfords etc. and look for UV protection. Good luck. Andy. |
