air bag light
guess whose back lol
ok so the new green meanie 2003 cdti has an airbag light on had it on t4 no srs module so I have swapped out the srs module and now it will communicate with toaf error is 9016 ignition circuit IC6 (belt pretensioner lefy)Resistence too high now ive cleaned the plug and pushed it in and out a few times with lots of lube but the fault persists by my flawed logic if the plug was at fault wouldnt the resistence be too low ?? anyone got any ideas ??

Are the pins easy to pop out and close up slightly? Not had any SRS problems on my ZT yet but done hundreds of airbag seat connections on Fiat and Alfa, sometimes you can pop the pins out the connector and close the up a bit. Try also making a swan neck out of the loom at each side of the connector with a cable tie. Also make sure that the belt pretensioner wiring isn't under the seat but in the seatbelt reel, someone with better knowledge of me will come along and tell you soon but it could be you're at the wrong connector, you may be just playing with the side airbag wiring. Have you tried doing away with the troublesome connection and manually joining the wires together? Just a thought as it worked on mine ..

Anyone know if the wires go directly to the srs ecu?

So what's been done so far... Changed srs module so now it can be seen on toaf Hard wired the pretensioner to the loom (twisted the wires together initially for test) then spliced in a new plug code gone light out.. Re assembled interior and the light is back on showing the passenger pretensioner again.. Took out the spliced in plug twisted wires together again and now the fault is still there Plugged I a different pre tensioner fault still there Only thing I can think of is a break in a wire being affected by the centre console But the pins are so small on the ecu plug I doubt I'll be able to continuity test it and it may connect again with the console out Might just be a case of bite the bullet and run new wires to the plug and keep my fingers crossed

Is there a voltage that should be coming down the twisted pair to the pre tensioner that can be tested? And if so anyone knkw what it should be?

I did that with mine but the light still comes on when seat is moved forward or back. Moving the seat again makes it go away for a week or so.
