Default Permenant Live Slate Grey Orange 0 Volt reading!

Trying to finally finish installing the wiring for tow only to find the slate grey wire near fuse box shows no voltage. All the fuses in the engine compartment seem good tested basic fuses for continuity and looked over the enclosed fuses. I'm not to sure where to look next. Any ideas? Where is/ should be the fuse for the aux?

It needs to be connected at the under bonnet fusebox end

Hang on a minute.....

Connector 573 pin one big purple job, you'll find the slate/orange wire tied ip with tape under the fusebox

Yes it does, and it's pin one, it only has three connections though

Ok, So no purple plug. A couple of light blue.. only one with 3 sockets so I chose that. Connected in the empty one. And still no voltage reading from grey orange. Am I missing a plug? I've attached a photo.

Yes, the empty slot above the connector you have connected it too is the one, and you're missing the purple connector.

The cable is fitted in the purple connector in the fuse panel in early cars.
In later cars the connector is part of the link kit, part no.YMZ000150, which is used in conjunction with the MGRover towing electrics accessory kit.

I could do with one of those purple connectors too if anyone has a spare one.
