We all seem to be having problems with Chinese distributors, I finally got my faulty unit back from the suppliers (not the one that everyone seems to want) after 5 weeks, and it does not have the TMC any more, they are now not answering emails and phone calls and I have not been refunded the return postage charge of £65.99 to return the unit to them in China.
SO BE WARNED

Sorry to hear you had problems with your HU. What was the problem may I ask?.
With regard to the non response to shipping refund I suppose thats the only drawback with buying these Chinese HU. |

The Sat Nav screen would not load properly (Kept locking up) , the suppliers said the GPS/TMC module may have gone faulty they said that they could send me the unit to replace it at my cost, but would it would no longer be covered by their warranty, so I had no choice but to send it back, I did get an email from them confirming they would refund the postage charge, but have not yet refunded me!!!

What annoys me the most was the ebay seller was listed in Spain (I did not want to pay any import duty) my I when I got a conformation email from the seller, it said "we out of stock, shipping from our factory in China"

Now that this new HU is making the rounds I've been checking out a few other forums and it appears that there's another one out there http://www.diytrade.com/china/4/prod...igital_TV.html
This is obviously for the new MG7 but I've written to them to find out if it would be compatible with our cars (The Originals) and if it has RDS and TMC and what it costs. Will post once I get a reply. |

Now that looks the dog's footballs.
That site it's on, looks to be dangerously close copy of eBay's HTML !!

Agreed. Or anything but Norton.. Biggest pile of scamware ever invented..
Sales of goods act would cover you if you paid for it.. Norton is not fit for purpose.. Was this slightly off topic?.. Perhaps, but justified.

You will be protected under the sales of goods act, with the sell of this item and ongoing problems with it. The return postage charge of £65.99 (did you pay by credit card at all) if so! contact your credit card provider and make a claim (charge back) do the same for the unit itself. |
