Various reading on here over the years would suggest it is far from straightforward and not worth the hassle.

It involves changing the complete heater box, so it's a dash out job

Hi Matt,

There's nothing substandard about manually controlled air conditioning. Your Rover 75 with Classic SE trim is an unusual and interesting car. Please don't spoil it by trying to make it look like everything else.

I will also add to the above the following.
In a few years time due to the numbers made, it will be the Classics that are sort after esp ones that haven't been altered in anyway.

Not just that, although i agree with you, but it's much easier to operate the manual controls without having to look at them
