walking and stunning views
wife and I love walking, open views, valleys and hills on a sunny day, sheep on the road, wonderful.
Yorkshire, leaving Lancliffe off of the B6479 is a single track road running "North East", taking it in an arc to Malham, wonderful open views with many places to stop and walk. You can see for miles on a clear day. We went for an hour and a halves walk and did not pass anyone else. macafee2 |

Totally agree,i am fortunate to live within walking distance of wonderful views.
As for sheep on the road, they are natures answer to traffic calming around here.

I work in Skipton so am well aware of the area you are talking about.
I am going to Coniston in the lakes next week and can't wait 🙂. You can't beat being away from it all and in a stunning location. Enjoy yourself. Steve. |

We have been walking part of the Wainwright coast-to-coast in Yorkshire over the last week - very enjoyable. We hope to go back next year to complete the walk over the North York moors to Robin hood's Bay. There are some pictures on a blog that we run on our cottage website:
