Default 2.0 KV6 fuel pump.

Hi I'm in the process of replacing the fuel pump unit on my 2000 75 V6. My problem is the new aftermarket pump is much larger than the original one and I'm having a nightmare trying to get it installed. Has anyone ever had this problem. What am I doing wrong. Tearing my hair out. Thanks for your help.

First question to ask is, is it from a kv6 Rover/Zt? Are you sure. You do have to fiddle about a bit to get it back in, but you have obviously bought a replacement. Yes?

Yea, like trying to get a square peg in a round hole. Checked part numbers and everything seems okay but no matter what shape I offer it up , no go

Hello Steve,

Return it to the supplier for a refund. It's obviously incorrect.

In the meantime, since the petrol pumps are extremely reliable, what's the problem with your car and how has it been diagnosed?

Simon

Yea wrong item. Was listed as for 99 - 05 but they got it wrong. For 02 - 05. Won't fit my 2000 kv6. Part number for new item was WFX101471 but no good for pre 2002 cars.
