Jules-Im mad but not that mad but thanks for your concern, just a cloth cap with the name of a famous British bike manufacturer on it.-this heat is worse for some than others and mention was made by a rider on the Tour de France of the effects of wearing a helmet in the existing temperatures and heat stroke. The Austrian Air Force presented two Eurofighters (our Typhoon) and a Hercules in a quick reaction alert scenario, followed by the two fighters in a superbly choreographed display after which I declared I didn't need to see anything else. Their positioning in every move looked so well thought out that any display pilot could learn how to safely fly and present their chosen "steed".
Couldn't make it to RIAT this year so I missed The Black Eagles, although I've seen video from the event posted on youtube and the team certainly looks impressive. As for The Red Arrows it doesn't help that the display is down to seven aircraft as two members have been transferred for operational reasons (although from what I've read it could be more likely they've been transferred for being naughty boys!)

Some of the videos are rubbish, even the bigger names; whoever thought it good camera work to only show one aircraft in an opposition pass?
The Red Arrows, pilots and team, have dropped below normal standards.
