Just a quick thought,
Are these clocks coded as a petrol V6, or do they (electronically) belong in a diesel?
It is possible to change the clock faces to convert a diesel set of clocks to a petrol, but if the EEPROM is not set to be for a petrol, then the rev counter scaling will be wrong (the red line is in about the same physical place, on the clock, but the actual revs that corresponds to is different)
