Default Cooling fan replacement fitting?

Hello,

My fan is shot on my 2.5l v6 connie, doesn't work at all. I've sourced a complete replacement from a car that was broke recently. Just need someone to fit this. Any recommendations and rough costings of fitting? I'm in Worthing, West Sussex.

Hi Jack
Why not have a go at fitting the fan your self, we can guide you through it if you like, or take a drive to the midlands nano meet on the 16th or 17th September and we can help you fit it FOC Arctic

Yeah I have looked at doing it myself- I'm a complete novice to car repair as this is my first car and have only just got it .

I've seen the guide on here with pictures on how to remove the bumper from a mk1 which seems pretty easy. Its after then that I'm not too sure on what to do

thanks

HI Jack.
once you have the bumper removed you would need to remove the slam panel, along with the lights and crash bar attached, then you would need to cut cowling round the A/C pipe unions, to remove the fan without disturbing the air con gas.

You will also need to cut the cowling of the fan that you are going to fit, time should for a first go take about 3 hours, I wonder if there is a member near to you that might offer their services to help you.

If so would a kind member please post with their offer cheers Arctic
