Question intermittent problem

Really strange problem with my Connie diesel saloon. Took the wife shopping, and sat in car . When she returned I turned key and nothing happened, no lights on dash. She opened door then shut again, all came back, but trip had zeroed. Last week central locking would not work off key fob, but did manually, trip again returned to zero! This has happened just a couple of times in the last two weeks, just remembered clock and radio went awol as well.Just checked plenum in case it was water ingress, but was dry.

Sounds like a poor contact on either the main battery supply, or the main earth.
Can you check you battery terminals are tightly fitted to the battery posts?
Make sure the other ends of the power leads are sood - the fuse box for +ve, and the body earth for the -ve.
I seem to remember MarinaBrian has identified the body earth point as a weak spot previously?
Hope this helps
Chris

+1 for Chris’ diagnosis. Had the same on my ZT. Was a bad earth. Had just come loose if I remember correctly.
