Default 999999 miles

I am wondering if anyone can help (cost effectively). My 75 has 64000 miles on it, but one day changed to the dreaded 999999. I know it’s a fairly common complaint, but is there a simple/alternative fix to paying. I found a service offering to do it for £99, but I’m sure there will be extras and I’m abit tight about it, when it doesn’t affect the car, just mildly annoying. Anyone who can shed any experience?

Take a trip over to one of the T4 guys who can put a virgin program into your IPK and re install it... should cure all and should cost about 25% of your £99

Ian,
Possibly try PhilT4 (a trader on here) He should be able to sort you out (but think he is about 90 miles from you)
Mike, you may want to try Bigruss?

This is certainly something a few of us can sort out, but you are both a bit too far to be popping to see me

Regards
Chris

If you'd like me to sort it out for you drop me a pm. Can give your car the once over with T4 as well as the ipk and it won't be anywhere near £90

Excellent, thank you all very much. I’m feeling better about getting this sorted. Thanks for the offers, but I will have to find someone nearer. Cheers
