Default zt190 rpm

Hi all my zt190 at 70 revs at 4100rpm and 1000 or just below on tickover now when im at 70 it dosnt sound like its revin at 4100 can the rev counter play up or somthing else.also was reading 15-1600 from cold

cold idle will always be higher, its like an auto choke...

should settle down when warming up though.

Well im confused.. i mean if its not doing 4100rpm (as in not sounding like that) then you wouldnt be doing 70.

If your still doing 70 and the rpm and speedo both checkout then i dont know what to suggest.
When you say doesnt sound like your doing 4100rpm what exactly do you mean?

IIRC a 190 should be around 3000 rpm in top gear at 70mph

Put my foot down in second and it went up to 8k without sounding or hitting limiter

Right according to the on board computer it confirms my rev counter is reading 1000rpm more

Hi Ed.
Your handbrake is now sorted, as we know your silver resistor needs changing organised for tomorrow, but as far as the RPM well that is an odd one T4 is not showing anything as we know.

What is showing though and maybe one of the members may have an input for us is that, OBC reading when at 19 then 7.2, revs on the clock at 3000 read 2275 on the OBC, as any other member seen this before?

I wonder if the Guru Brian or Phil T4 may know an answer to this, hopefully we can find an answer for you Arctic.

Just to add my two pennerth, on my recent trips in Kim, 2.0 cdti connie se, the revs were 2200 in 5th at 70mph.
