![]() Lambs in the field, Canadian Geese with the mother sitting on the nest and a full pond. The pond is about 4ft deep but come the end of summer last year it was only ankle deep.
I think we had 6 or 8 Goslings last year and we are chuffed that parents return to the same place year after year. No idea what the Goslings do, find somewhere new? There is a second pair of Geese out of shot but the male by the pond is keeping them at bay macafee2 |

![]() We are expecting lambs in our field in a couple of weeks time. Last weekend I was out with a backpack sprayer spot treating thistles etc. This weekend busy checking the fenceing, carrying out repairs etc.
We've always had Percy the Partridge who loiters around the garden. The current one is the 5th or 6th generation. Since last year three muntjacs have made our wildlife aea and the garden their home. They often just sit under a tree in the evenings. I guess they feel safe away form the roads, traffic and people.
