Backplate replacement
I'm thinking about replacing both rear backplates - the holes that the sprung pins anchors into have rotted and could do with replacing. I've found a complete pair of backplates from dmgr's which are complete with new shoes, springs, pins, adjuster etc.
Am I right in thinking that once the disc & hub is off, the backplate is only held on by 4bolts? Once these have been removed, will the backplate just pull away and then I can simply replace the rotten one for a new complete one? Has anyone else tried doing a straight swap without taking all the bits off the plate first? https://www.dmgrs.co.uk/products/r75...71b5dac9&_ss=r Thanks |
