Super car Ross. With 4 days to go and the bidding around £4k already, I reckon you will easily make more than £4250 if you hang on so a good reason for a club member to snap this up!

Thanks Dave. I think it'll be snapped up at or close to the £4500 buy it now but I'd rather the car stayed in the club and had the TLC she is used to.

Hi Ross,
I think that's the best description I've seen on ebay - I can see you are very fond of her. Re the expanding family, I saw a 75 boot rack on ebay the other day. I expect that's quite a rare item but it could give you some additional storage space when out and about. Andy |

You can also try a roof box for those occasions when you have more luggage!

Thanks guys, when push came to shove I knew that outside of the club It'd be nigh on impossible to get a tourer in the same condition as my saloon. I'll consider a roof box or luggage rack but to be honest I think it'll be a rare occurrence to have to use one.
I surprised myself again yesterday with just how cavernous the saloon's boot is.

I've considered getting a small trailer (and I mean small) in leu of a roof box for our trips to Europe. (We usually manage to get everything in the boot for all 4 of us but it is a tight squeeze!) Has anyone ever used one or is this not really a good idea??

Hi
I have a roof box and a trailer. Well, I borrow the trailer from work when I need it. When we go camping we need to take a lot of stuff so a trailer and tent etc strapped to the roof is about right. This year I purchased a roof box from Halfrauds as we went on holiday without a tent so didn't need to take as much stuff . I think a roof box is good because you can still drive at the normal speed and still get over the channel without extra cost. However, can get more stuff in the trailer. Oh, one year I got a puncture on the trailer, which you wouldn't have to worry about with a roof box. I guess there will be a problem parking or having know where to leave a trailer while on holiday. I used to leave the trailer locked up by the tent until we were ready to go home. To be honest Chris if you were only going to get a small trailer you maybe better off with a roof box.

Thanks. I have a roof box from when we moved but need to get the roof bars - was wondering about the pros and cons of the two before I forked out more money. The extra space in the trailer would be nice, but the cost and parking "problems" might well be the deciding factor.
Cheers
