Default where to put axle stands on the rear

Hi all I need to renew my rear shocks and also one upper suspension arm and would like some advice on where to put the axle stands, the car is now off the road so I am planning on soaking the bolts over a few days and just keeping it jacked up on the stands. So where would you recommend placing the axle stands to get it up in the air for a while ?
Thanks

I would use the central jacking point and put the stands under the jacking points.

It's a good question for which I've yet to find a truely satisfactory (safe) answer: https://the75andztclub.co.uk/forum/s...ad.php?t=35051
But I'm probably more cautious than necessary.

I would not put axle stands under either the front or rear sill jacking points if the wheels at the other end of the car are still on the ground, angel is too steep. Jack one end of the car up, put on low ramps, jack other end up put on full ramps, go back to first end, jack up and place on axle stands.
which ever end I want to remove the wheels from is the end I start with.

I learnt the hard way!

my axle stands each have a shaped block of wood to fit inside the "Y" and the jacking pads sit on this wood

When jacking up the rear of the car worth checking the steering lock is on - you don't want the car slewing off the jack if anything slips.

For my two-pennyworth, plan your lift as you should "break" the road wheel bolts whilst on the ground.
