Default V6 160 rear disks.....HELP......

Hi guys im about to buy some rear discs and pads for my beloved money pit,

BUT the ones im looking at are solid not vented.
will they still fit ? (i know vented are better but times are tough and MOT is looming).

Any advice is really appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You will have to stick with the same type as already fitted unfortunately, so if yours are vented that's what you will have to fit.

they will fit of course .but i wolud not recomend it as the solid ones are thiner so there is a chance of your brake pads becoming dislodged

thanks guys.

looks like just new pads at the back for now.

The vented discs are out of my price at the mo, having had to replace two front tyres a windscreen and front discs and pads all this month.

Oh well it never rains but pours lol

If you fit the solids, then you will have problems, as other have mentioned

why no go for something like these which are vented, and are very good

are the rear callipers different on the rear for vented and non vented?

What will happen is that one of the pads will wear down whilst the other will hardly be used, A mate had the wrong discs fitted he should have had vented, and he had solid discs, and the pads on the inside had worn down to the metal, whilst the outer pads, looked brand new

Erm........ ok so i just pushed the boat out and got the ones you suggested (without the boss Knowing). they better be worth it lol.

Fusilier your just down the road from me, im near Bedale do you ever go to any meets?

Argh hurry up payday lol

I would not recommend them If they were no good. I have two sets fitted to my cars, and would not use any others
