Default Clutch pedal travel cdti 75

Hi all. I’ve had my 75 for about six months, recently I think I’ve noticed that the clutch pedal has a little slack travel until you feel like you’re pushing against something. I’d say about half way from top (which it does return to) is when you feel like you’re doing something.
The car has always had a little clutch judder when cold (I guess this could be engine though)
The question being, is there a problem here or am I imagining it?
Thanks in advance
Eddie.
