Double dinvideo playback

hi just want to know what video playback does the headunit allow (apart from dvd)?

mp3, dvdr + - RW, cdr, vcd take a look on the side of the box, more info there

i tried avi files it just loops after a few seconds..

i guess something like: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/229961

would be ideal if only i could power it from a 12v connection like ciggie charger
