Got my third (of four) wheel primered today. Paint and clearcoat go on tomorrow.
Also replaced the drop links on the back of my wife's Kia Sportage today, and the tapping noise that has been driving her crazy is gone. I'm hoping that good deed will make up for the paint smell drifting up from the garage.

I went to change my rear shocks today, no 18mm 1/2 drive socket, only a 3/8 one and a girlie ratchet, so I had to give up on that, off out tomorrow for a 18mm hex socket and try again.

You will need a decent breaker bar too, some of the bottom shock bolts can be very tight.

I always run a tap down the threads before refitting too, makes the job a tad easier.

Thankfully I have one Andy, if this doesn't work then I'll have to buy an 18v impact wrench.

I have noticed on the mk 2 that the bolts/ nuts all seem to benefit from having the threads re tapped, not something I ever recall doing on the earlier cars.
