Default Not Happy- Wifes 75 keyed!

Just had a phone call from my Wife to say that there is a deep scratch across the boot of her 75.
She came out from work and noticed it as she walked up to the car.
She is not sure if it was there this morning as she approached the car from the front then.
Its Cowley built and has managed to survive 14 years and is pretty tidy overall apart from bonnet keyed and now the boot.
She should be home soon so will see how bad it is.

Thanks Derek.
She has just got home and I have taken a look.
I can deffo feel it with my fingernail right across the boot.
Pretty sure it wont polish out.
I just cannot see what these lowlifes get out of it.
Seems it was done in road at home as there is another car that has had the same treatment only across the door.

Hateful thing to do to anyone's car. It might be worth looking at Chipex as a DIY solution. Have heard good things about them (I have no connection).

regards

Thanks everyone for your suggestions.

I have been out and tried some autoglym paint renovator on it and no difference.
I really think it is too deep.
just seen this on ebay though and think I may take a chance on it.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rover-75-T...item46224e8740

Could really do without the outlay though.

just ordered boot. Cant bear looking at it especially as rear quarter is my favorite angle of view, mind you I like most others as well. Just hope when boot comes it is ok.
