Question Header tank cap leak

All of a sudden my header tank cap has started to leak. I have read somewhere that this is a common ageing fault. It does not matter how tight I screw it down it stil leaks, I obviously need a new one and can anybody point me to a supplier that can supply me with a new cap ASAP ? in the meantime has anybody tried a well proven bodge that can get me by in the mean time as I am loosing valuable OAT coolant on every journey I make.

1- make sure you're not overfilling the tank.
2- don't overtighten the cap as you just squash the seals, deforming them so they no longer seal
3- buy replacement viton seals from Jack, https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rover-75-...frcectupt=true

Pleasure Keith, just make sure you fit the seals as per Jack's instructions

Can only suggest ECP or German & Swedish, that's where I got mine from, and they had it in stock.

Now tell me that you haven't allowed a mechanic near it please? the old way was to fill it to the neck, way too much over our MAX level.
