Windows XP x64 anti virus software
Anyone here running the 64bit version of Windows XP?
More importantly, can you recommend a half decent anti virus application?? (and if anyone says the word Norton, the bunny gets it!) |

The "little" company I work for uses CA Etrust across all our clients
http://www3.ca.com/Files/DataSheets/...irus_r8_ds.pdf I have deployed it to 400 + servers and around 10,000 desktops for my current client all centrally managed. |

We have been using Trend Micro on our servers and clients for AGES. Not a single hick-up. There is a 60 day trial available for clients and/or servers:
http://uk.trendmicro-europe.com/ PC cillin is for home/home office users and then there is a selection of options/features for small, medium & large business sites.

I know Trend works with Linux 64-bit, just asked about it working with Windoze. When I have an answer - ie the geek has taken his soon-to-be-broken nose out of his ski-boarding mag - then I'll pass it on.
I hate Norton though. Hate, hate, hate it. |

Anyway, after running around that comedy cul-de-sac, I am now 99% sure that OfficesScan v8 supports XP 64-bit in a network environment - but this is as a client and not as a server. Similarly PC-Cillin will do the job as well.

Its not any thing like the same as Cheap Norton Domestic Versions, But "Symantec Anti Virus Corporate Edition V10+" is Bullet proof even if a Bit Expensive, it can run on Main Server or Client Machines. Its used at a lot of major Airports & Airlines to. We have had no problems with this on all the Installs we have done...It also will work Correctly with The Whole Range of Vista Editions.
