Just a big thank you to Sean.
I have received my unit, and am really pleased with it and the excellent service from Sean.

Cheers,

The unit is great! I have just the problem to get my steering wheel controls running. I had the rover alpine unit before, included the small navi. All the plugs fit together just like they arrived and everything is working fine. I thought about having the infrared controls, but I could'nt find the "white box", so I guess it is not the irda wheel control. Does anyone has the same problem? And at least a solution?

Hi Tony,
I'm reading this thread for a while and I see in your post No 558 the screenshot with petrutms patch. My unit runs with this too, but something seems to be wrong with the resolution because the start button down left is unreachable. Do you have an idea how to change this?

HI Friedrich,

When you say it is "unreachable", do you mean you can not see it or you can not click on it with the pointer?

You are able to make screen adjustments from the main SAT NAV setup one of the icons is "screen", you can move the screen about vertically or horizontally.

If you can not click on the start button, it might have been the setting on the original setting were not done with the pointer supplied with the unit, it does make a great deal of difference with settings on the cross hatch, they have to be spot on, otherwise the start button will not work.

When I first installed the unit I used my finger on the cross hatch, which was fine for the general setting, but with the WINCE program it has to be spot on otherwise you will NOT be able to use the start button.

Give the setup a try on the cross hatch 1st.

Today I have tried to install the DVB-T unit supplied by Sean. But the only way I can get a picture is to stand outside the car with the ariel in my hand.
I assume I just need a better ariel? If so where and what do I buy? I would like it to be mounted discretly in the car.

As it was not a success I removed the DVB-T wiring and refitted the head unit, but now when I switch the ignition off the wipers do one full sweep. Any ideas?

Also I took the feed for the DVB-T from the wires going into the ISO connector. Is this OK as the + & - wires for the DVB-T look a fair bit thicker?

Thanks,

SJR

I Don't want to "pass the Buck" but is reception generally good in your area?
Uxbridge, right ? You want at least 20 DB gain
There are plenty on Ebay if thats suitable.
From me would take a long time.

The wiper thing is a new one. Ill have to leave that to the gys for the moment.
