I have owned more cars than I can remember, but none of them have given me as much driving pleasure as my ZT. There really is something about these cars, I think giving up nicotine would be easier than parting with this car. I wonder if MGR had survived would they have been able to make anything to surpass the ZT/75.

A good blast out can clear the mind as well as the exhaust pipe, better in the Summer mind with the music on and the sun shining

I said a few months back, driving home from Southampton on the A34 on a balmy evening in summer, light traffic, cosseted in my 75 smoothly motoring along at 70 mph, no creaks, no rattles, so quiet but for the low pitched hum of the exhaust, it doesn't get much better than this, and in " bulletproof", M47 diesel too !!

My zt...
I must be the odd one out because I'm going to be soundproofing my ZT, It'll still sound great outside but It'll be quiet inside. I can open the windows to hear the roar if I choose but I want it to be a Wolf in Sheep's clothing.
On another note, I'm on with the repair mod for the inlet manifold. |

I have to say that apart from sounding a touch agricultural on start up until the operating temperature starts getting towards 9 O'clock on the gauge, my diesel sounds as smooth as silk, in fact just like as if its running on a drive belt humming along rather than a rattly diesel. ( certainly inside the cabin anyway which is all I'm bothered about) I never cease to be amazed at how smooth and quietish it sounds once up to temp. |
