This is a picture of a Sony interface, you can see the green and yellow wires are connected to the small jack plug [that is connected to Sony radio]. The green and yellow should be connected to the blue/orange and blue/purple from the green mini iso.

This is a picture of the interface units from Incartec for the Sony radio. the unit 29-631 [middle left] is the correct interface, it is fitted with a green mini iso connector [male/female ?].

You may have the incorrect interface for a your type of Sony radio.

I would try changing the around the blue/purple, blue/orange to see if this would correct the fault.

Other than the above, you may have to purchase another interface..
