Red face smoking 75 1.8t

just had a rover 75 1.8t 53 plate club se given me by my old man and its got 50k mls on clock had 2 head gasket jobs done on it but there is now smoke coming from exhaust blue/white? and its quite heavy on oil i've been told? car drives fine though? water seems to be leaking from underneath but i don't know whether that was just down to the torrential rain we just had lol. any suggestions to a remedy would be appreciated thank you.

mechanic on the phone immediately said headgasket failure but i'm hearing that it could be imminent turbo failure leaking oil into the exhaust causing the problem. so basically the turbo is on the way out?

any thoughts suggestions on what it could be and a remedy would be welcome thanks.

ps im new on here so take it easy on me cheers.

Typically due to oil seals failure in the turbocharger. It could be a direct consequence of HGF, depending on how much water was emulsified with the lube oil going to it. Welcome to the world of Rovers.

I would be inclined to get a replacement, perhaps a second hand known good unit. Contact Trader on here seancar for availability.
