Default Drop Link removal, Oh, that's how!

With this little project of a Rover 75 1.8 Saloon, I was horrified to see the condition of the drop links, then more horrified when I saw the difficulty that some have in removing them.

I had a proper go today, and saw it virtually impossible to get a spanner onto the top nut at the base of the spring, then remembered that comment "turn the steering onto full lock" - wow, it was a doddle. I did cheat and put a grip onto the "flats" but I will purchase a thinner spanner for the new ones.

And a much easier option is to just cut them off with an angle grinder then bolt the new ones on, ten minutes a side easy peasy

Absolutely And, cut the top bolt down to just over the thickness of the nut & bracket

That would take a while with my junior hacksaw.
