Default What is this warning symbol

Hi all. My wheel liner caught the drive and went under the wheel when parking tonight. I got a traction control warning which makes sense as it slipped under the wheel and killed the grip but another also came up that was like a hollow circle with little breaks in its circumference. Ill refit the liner tomorrow and check sensor wires but if anyone can give me a head start to know what it is.

It is the brake pad wear sensor warning, you would have wrecked this along with the abs sensor lead....

I was cleaning under my liners yesterday, funnily enough so this is quite fresh in my mind.

It sounds like the ABS sensor has been pulled apart. Was it the passenger side per chance? If it was the driver's side, it is likely that you would have had two warnings. One for ABS and one for brake pad wear. ABS one is in yellow, and brake pad wear is in red.

They point at which they enter the liner will be obvious, and their connections with be obvious I am sure too. But just in case. Look to the area that would be slightly forward and behind the suspension turret. Driver's side will have two cylindrical connectors clipped to the back of the liner One blue and one black, ABS and pad wear sensor. Passenger side will have just one, ABS only. Hopefully, the connector will have simply separated and not ripped the wiring out. The pad wear sensor would be easy enough to replace, however I fear (not having replaced one) the ABS one will be a little more involved.

Half victory. The abs just unclipped but the brake pad sensor has pulled the wires out. Will source a replacement.

Why not just solder the wires together and the warning light will not show.

Brake pad warning is not essential if you're checking your pads visually at frequent intervals.
