Default CD Magazine - Not Ejecting

Has anyone solved not being able to get the 6no CD Magazine to eject.

Symphony Unit says there is no Magazine present...........which is rubbish as I put a New and favour CD in yesterday morning and it was fine all day.

This morning unable to get the CD Magazine holder to eject in order to put another CD in!!!!!

Where abouts is your CD cassette located? in the glove box or in the boot? I remember there is a solution on the forum somewhere, as I went down this road with my CDTi.

I've had this problem many times with my first 75....

Two ways to go....

First (most easy access): Hold the green button for a few seconds, and wiggle a bit with the magazine. Mostly it will come out.

Second: Disconnect the connections on the CD-changer, and reconnect. Mostly the changer will search you magazine niow, and it will work fine again.

Another member had this problem a while back. The lifting carriage mechanism inside the changer which is greased to ease movement had got a bit caked up with dirt and dust.

What we did was to remove the CD changer from the glove box, then tip the unit on it's side and give it a gentle encouraging 'tap' then with it still connected and holding it vertically, with gravity acting in our favour, pressed the green eject button again. The magazine came out.

Next we disconnected it, and removed the plastic lid to get to the lifting mechanism from the outside. A good spray with WD40 if I remember correctly re-lubricated the gear and then it was fine after that.

The problem in this case was that the changer was struggling to shuffle the discs within the unit and so would not park properly to allow the magazine to eject.

Thanks Reebs, I think I will be doing what you did tomorrow. I just need to ensure that I can get to the underside of the glove box and undo the little bolts.
Thanks again, will advise on completion.
Tomorrow is going to be busy in terms of Music, as it is my intention to convert No6 1970s Punk cassette tapes to MP3 files over course of the day too.

Hi all Pleased to say that the exercise to remove the CD Player was relatively easy.
Once 4 Bolts undone and cable disconnected, brought it into house, and removed Plastic Face, then the 4 screws securing cover and removed cover, revealing the innerds.

Then back to out to car and reconnected cable and connector, a couple of pokes of the CD that was stuck made it return to magazine. Ejected Magazine then WD40 here and there but not too much. Disconnected from Connector and cable and back to the Kitchen to reassemble the cover and plastic face cover before reinstalling in Glove Box.

Once reinstalled the Magazine is now Ejected with Force to the extent it hits the Glove Box lid!!!

Job Done and Favour Old CD retrieved without any damage
