As people seem to want a small bottle, why not get a 907 or a 904 Camping Gaz bottle, a screw in regulator will be required, but they're around the same size as a 4.5 and can be bought all over Europe which makes them a much better option for travelling or small scale use.
There are people that fill their own cylinders and I've seen more than my share of those same people with burns, I won't say how it's done as it's dangerous.

Cost, Camping GAZ is way more money. No idea why.

This is a bit of a PITA as the gas locker on my narrowboat will only take the small bottles. I have no doubt that some enterprising folk will start refilling them though as nature abhors a vacuum.

My friends are literally in the same boat, those in the future don't fit.

Knowing SFA on the this issue could you enlighten me on the difference with heat/burn time for propane as against Butane. I did notice that the Butane size in the deleted list was always larger. Is it just about the equipment fitted or are they often multi-fuel?

As an aside, surely handling "lighter" containers will have a lower chance for injury?
