Nothing new there then. Corporate Businesses (oops sorry Charities) have been peddling their agenda for years. Every time an article pops up on the news a charity expert is to be found selling the viewer the story loaded with their biased opinion of it, whether that be climate change, famine, refugees the same message comes across, feed our over inflated executive budgets and wallets please.

A chap I used to work with, his brother worked for "save the children", said he was always travelling the world.

I said that he must find this very tiring, to which the reply was ..... not really its all 5 star hotels and business class flights.

So that's where all the money goes

And to think that Joe public donated 100 million to Haiti makes me cringe the carrying on of these charities. Clint Eastwood recently said in an interview that PC was responsible for weakening society..humourless.

Usual cry of “Oxfam has questions to answer” - which of course, it does. Two serious questions certainly - the first is how the heck did those on the ground for Oxfam thought using local vulnerable girls for sex parties was part of Oxfam's remit?

And the second question is even more damning for Oxfam - why did it all get hushed up and those that were guilty allowed to move on to other Charities and NGO’s with no mention on their record of what they did.

Just like Watergate - the event is bad enough - but the cover up becomes truly toxic.

Reading between the lines, I think some of those concerned faked their own references.

It was something along the lines of getting their friends who still worked for oxfam to do their references in a private capacity (leaving out any various things i would assume) rather than the HR dept. Or some faked completely.

The chief executive of Save the children is Helle Thorning-Schmidt on £250k pa, So next time that one eyed bear appears on tv, just think where your donations go I have never donated to any charity purely because very little actually goes to those who need it

I agree wholeheartedly - the one exception we found was the Trussell Trust - as far as we (my old firm) could tell - this is a well run organisation that does pretty much what it says it does.
