Default Seans d/d Unit and Harmon Kardon Speaker System

I'm tying to find some info on this.
I was just wondering whether these work with each other as I have just bought and want to fit a Harmon Kardon set up with the sub woofer and amp.
I'm sure I have read somewhere that Seans DD head unit does not power the amp and sub up!
Is this right?? Cheers OFTR

If you have the standard H/K system then its just plug and play as I have in my car, however if you have the HighLine system then it get a bit more involved.

Nothing is too complicated Dave, what head unit are you replacing?

Perhaps if you are not sure what model it is, perhaps you could post a picture of your existing head unit.

Oh it is complex

The Hi-line system has radio+amp and TV+video unit in the wheel well and a nav system also in the boot. The display unit at the front, was just a display and wired remote control for the gubbins in the boot.

With a more standard system the HK amp + sub, may or may not work, I suspect not. However the DD will plug in and will definitely work work with just the bare speakers, the HK amp plus sub may need more work to get them going. If so, it might be worth moving the amp to the front of the car.

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

I don't think it's a 'highline' set up, as the loom only has the plugs for the sub and amp at the rear.

This is my head unit I have at the moment.

Hi OFTR , I can send you instructions to wire it up to our head unit
The Highline Includes the OEM Monitor and Sat nav in the Dash with the Controls in the Boot.
look here
http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...ad.php?t=22249

But
You have Our head unit already and want to connect the HK Amp and Sub, Right ? I know you said that you have 2 cars, so just to be sure that's the plan ?

Just as a Side note , the Android unit has Subcontrol on the DSP !

Thanks Sean! I love the look of the Android system and I'm very very tempted.
I'm just a bit disappointed because I have bought an HK set up and I'm wondering whether I should have saved my money and not bothered with it.

Would the Android DD work with Harmon Kardon??
Thanks OFTR
