Default What's going on with the new VED rules and will it affect our cars?

Hi,
I keep getting pop up news reports on Google news about the new pricing of VED.
After reading them all, it's about as clear as mud to me on what's going on. At present i pay around £205 for diesel auto and was wondering is this going to sky rocket this year. I'm hearing things from its going to based on the amount of miles you do, to cars being registered from 2017 onwards will be clobbered.
We could do with some clarity on this 🤔
All the very best,
Johnny

Found this dated 04 March 2021:

https://www.which.co.uk/reviews/new-...d-aqnPf4D3c26Y

There's a table of "Tax Bands" with "CO2 emissions" & "Annual Rate" about 2/3rds of the way down the article.

So my CDT manual @ 163 g/km has a Tax Band Of "G" and Rate of £210 p/a from April 2021 (I think ).

Hope that helps.

PS. As far as I can see your auto should be more like £300 p/a ????

I was going to comment on the £205! If I recall, mine was £305.
