Default Garmin Dashcam Mini Hardwire

Hi everyone, I have a late 2004 Mk1 conne and want to hardwire the dashcam.
It is a Garmin dashcam mini. The hardwire kit has 3 wires 1 black which is earth, 2 is a yellow one which it says is the battery and 3 which is a red one which it says is accessory. The hardwire kit also has a black box which as I understand is to shut the power off to the dashcam whilst in parking mode should the voltage drop below 11.5v. Can anyone give me advice on how to wire this up bearing in mind I am a bit of a numpty in respect of car electrics? Thanks.
