Default New Pierburg

Hiya, been looking at a new Pierburg under bonnet pump on e-bay. Would like to know if they're as quiet as the originals fitted from new, or in fact they even are the originals. Any feedback appreciated.
Heddy.

Genuine Pierburg or TI Automotive, sometimes in a pierburg box you will find the actual pump says T I automotive, it’s the same company they are the only ones I would fit anything other than these is often noisy, if you purchased a genuine one you’ll have no trouble at all and it will be whisper quiet. Also you won’t have any issue with fuel pressures as they maintain a nice perfect pressure

Thanks for replying, instead of fitting a used one, I thought I'd get a 'fit and forget' one. The car is only on 84k now so worth the extra pennies.

No Steve, there was one a little cheaper, around 115 quid, is there a chance they're not genuine? Haven't bought one yet.

Hi Heddy.
As you know nothing in this life is 100% nowadays EVEN THOUGH IT SHOULD BE. the seller in the link at least give a 60 day return so if it did not look or even do it's silent job then send it back.

I think I was the one for £115 almost sure that was from Germany also.

Check out the link below Mick as a tested one for sale.

Many years ago I bought one of the Pierburg branded pumps for my own 75 via eBay - must be 8 years or so back now.
Was a similar price, branded TI Automotive and was nice and quiet.

Fingers crossed they're still the same - I'm guessing with such a reliability record they'd keep the 'recipe' as per the original design.
