Default Hastings - Thursday 14th Oct.

About 2.35 pm, a black (or very dark colour) facelift saloon, coming out of a side road, onto the main London Rd.

I was in a gold tourer.

I waved, and am certain that the driver waved back.

Could this be my first "was it you" with a response?

It certainly wasn't me - I am in Limerick! - but did you know that today is the anniversary of the Battle of Hastings and thus the Norman Conquest! Did it have French or Danish plates?

Thank you for your response. No I didn’t know that we had visited Hastings on this particular anniversary.

Limerick is a place that I remember well, as I used to visit Ireland as a service engineer, back in the 70’s. Shannon Airport had an associated industrial area, which was deemed to be airside. I presume that this was for tax / export reasons.

Our customer there was Unbrako, the allen key manufacturer, and we would stay in the Limerick Ryan (long since closed)

Regards

Mike

Mines metallic Dark red, so it wasn't me, and mines pre facelift, but saying that, i'm not far off London Rd very close in fact, if anyone knows St Leonards, by the Triumph motorbike shop, i regularly see a couple of Rover 75's, one's a tourer, is that yours ?

Thank you for your reply.

No, it's not me who parks outside a motorcycle shop (although I used to, all the time)

We do come down to Hastings, probably once a month; partly for the drive, partly for old times sake.

Sometimes drive on to St. Leonards, so will keep an eye out for you.

Regards

Mike
