Master cylinder help needed please.
I have a 1.8T estate that's had a full clutch fitted. (amongst many other things)
I supplied a Tazu master that worked for about 6 weeks and now loses pressure over 3 days leaving me with a 1/2 inch biting point on the floor. re-bleed it and and 3 days later the problem returns. In the hope of getting the Tazu swopped under warranty I supplied an original Pipe & Cylinder that I found on a certain well known auction site. Trouble is that my garage called today and said they need some type of seal to make these two parts go together, when I looked at them it looked like the pipe seats straight into the rear of the cylinder and is then held with the securing dowel and pin. They/I don't have the original either so no joy there. Could anyone shed any light into what they might be talking about? Sorry if this is vague but I can't spanner myself any longer due to serious bad health. Any help appreciated. Thanks

If you have fitted the Tazu cylinder, then the chances are you have copper brake pipe fitted instead of the standard plastic pipe.
The best thing to do is bin the Tazu and fit original stuff.

Thanks for the reply
I've supplied the original pipe and master so all the Tazu bits should be out. I supplied the original as two parts so it's joining them together that the problem. I admit these are used but I'm really trying to keep costs down as not working full hours currently. Just wish I could still do it myself.
