The skies have darkened & the wind has picked up, I think we're in for some rain shortly.

The best one I ever heard was one of the Glasgow (Glasgow humour) drivers, describing the aftermath of a curry, said his ar*e was like the Japanese (rising sun) flag

Thank you Roy for doing the birthday wishes.

Yesterday was a good and a bad day. I drove up to The Royal Free Hospital in London for my Pre-Op assessment. All okay until I had the ECG in outpatients, then suddenly had a bad pain upper abdomen going into the shoulder. I was transferred to A&E, had an emergency CT scan, bloods, chest X-ray. Found to be dehydrated and a flair up of a hiatus hernia with query little gallstones. On the drive to London I had missed lunch and had forgotten to take some medication the day before for the hiatus hernia. Given IV fluids and pain medication. ECG repeated and found to be normal. Counselled to drink more fluids, eat more regularly with smaller meals, no alcohol and to keep to a low fat diet …. the usual. Discharged home with pain medication and advised to rest and to get the gall bladder scanned in outpatients. No kidney stones seen. No bad news really.

Fortunately I am improving on the medication and following doctors orders.

Now going to rest.

Have a great day.

Phil, you must take more care of yourself. Seeing what you have already been through.

I’ve done a few things similar to what Phil has been to, although nothing as serious he has been through, but I just keep doing things I needed to do and should have rested more .
Your operation is a little more than a week Phil, mine will be on Wednesday this week and I’m hoping that it after a few months all fainting is stopped and gets me driving again.

Morning all, Looks like we're in for a scorcher of a day with temps of 25C forecast. Worse than that daytime inferno is the overnight temps are forecast to be 18C How can you sleep in that heat.
On another note I was going to make some pork sausages today but cant find the natural skins Looks like pork pies & burger patties then.

I was never able to find out what the mystery appointment reminder text was for, just need to wait until I get a "why didn't you turn up?" letter.

Washing duties, doing the "anti doggy hair" blankets from the lounge suite, keeping an eye out the window, there's a thunderstorm warning for today.
