Simple
Quote:
1 move seat as far back as possible. 2 Remove torx bolt at front of each runner 3 move seat as far forward as possible 4 Remove torx bolt at rear of each runner 5 Tilt seat forward or back and unclip electrical connectors under seat ( good practice to disconnect battery before disconnecting connectors as one is the airbag) 6 remove headrest 7 carefully remove from car Simples.... The torx bolts will be very tight if they have not been removed before Fitting reversal of above Ensure torx bolts are tensioned up correctly Last edited by Astraeus; 27th December 2015 at 12:18.. |

If you do a search there's plenty here but it's very easy. Best advice suggests disconnecting the battery and coming back in 20 mins or so first (in case the airbags go off). Then push the seat forward, remove the two rear bolts, seat back remove the front two bolts. Then tilt the seat forward and remove the airbag/electrical connectors. Finally, don't forget to remove the seat belt adjustor. Also, remove the headrest and adjust the back part of the seat as far forward as it goes (obviously do this first of yours are electrically adjustable) as it will make it easier getting them out of the car.

Well got the seat out no problem, managed to get the back cover pulled back enough to see what's making a noise in there and can't see anything broken at all. Just some lightly rusted springs...

Do the basic models have the electrical connectors underneath too as my seats are manual & I'm wanting to remove them? Tia 👍🏻

Bit of a lottery, might be there, might not! Get your head under the seat and have a look, or remove the seat bolts, tip the seat back and have a look.
If the wiring etc isn't there it can be made up, there are guides on here, ie https://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/for...ad.php?t=15926 |
