Cool

Rained all day, so not done much. Other than wrapped up a few Xmas presents, wrote out a few Xmas & birthday cards.

Heated up the last of my beef casserole, bloomin’ delicious.

Evening all, Done begger all today I'm getting good at this couch potato malarkey I wasv going to have a day driving trains but my gaming PC (Win 10 ) decides it needs a shedload of updates & lots of update for these train sim world games too So I left it on all day updating & it's still not finished many hours later, what a pile o poop OS that Windows 10 is .

I've been looking at ads for free horse manure for my raised beds There's a place up on't moors top o Bacup with a shedload of free horse poop & I'm still waiting on them to get back to me with directions to the dung heap
Pity there's no towbar on the Niro, it's going to smell ripe when I've loaded it up

Spag Bol for tea with a bottle of Henry's.

Evening Ian, would be nice to be a couch potatoe, day at work followed by shopping, then sort out the house and now cook tea.

(Sneaking a lager in as the oven is warning up)

Evening Andy, The garden is too sodden to do owt on & I've done all the odd jobs in the kitchen after the flood, Just waiting on the vinyl floor fitters to get back to us but being in a high risk C-19 area I cant see them coming this side of Christmas, I've been looking for some armour plated cable to go between house & garage to replace the temporary cable I put in after I put the spade through it digging out a base for this other greenhouse lots for sale but none long enough yet ....well not local.

I've been digging a trench ready but it's full of water at present. I need something beefier for charging the MG ZS EV BEV when it arrives, This house is over 100 years old & the electrics aren't up to today's code, We're shared with two other houses & the electric supply comes in at ceiling height in the kitchen, We still have the old bakerlite fusebox/fuses set up .

Just a thought - Did the flood didn't touch any of the electrics that need to be redone? Because if it did, I thought that any remedial "new" work had to be done to the current (no pun intended) Regs? I'm pretty sure that a Bakelite board with fuses won't meet the Regs so would have to be changed? I'm not an electrician so maybe it's worth checking out?

Rained pretty much all night, it’s showing signs of brightening up now though

Morning everyone.

Rained in the night. But seems to be brightening up now. Today is going to be our best day this week.

So the plan is to drop off a birthday card, then onto the butchers to get a few bits I couldn’t get last week then onto the garden centre to get some winter pansies. Get them planted out today.

Morning Andy, Unfortunately no it didn't affect any of the electrics , It would have been nice to get an up to date consumer unit replacement off the insurance.
Enjoy your walk with Quizzie

Morning all - the misty, murky, foggy weather has returned this morning - but it's still mild. As some poet (can't remember who?) once said - "Autumn - the season of mists and mellow fruitfulness".
SWMBO's ultrasound scan yesterday turned out to be a waste of time. The radiographer couldn't find any signs of any lumps, anywhere on Angela's neck. He gave the strong impression that he felt our GP had wasted everybody's time. From our point of view, better safe than sorry sums it up I think.
