Looking good Mike, I found the biggest gain for soundproofing was when I did a members car with dynamat and put a sheet over the seat base (Above the fuel tank) Noise was drastically reduced.

I've done that too and I'm going to do the underside of the bonnet as well, I made big noise savings with the 75 and I want this whisper quiet in the cabin. I don't mind the outside growl but I want it quiet inside..

I'm thinking about taking out the manual A/C in my car and fitting climate in it's place, so it makes sense to do it while the car is stripped out like yours.
That was my idea but I've changed my mind, I've installed manual control for both sides instead, the blanking cover hides the control panel.

Not a Rover owner anymore, but I have just fitted my new JCV radio into my Honda.

Are you going to use that on the engine side too? (to replace the existing black padded stuff)

I'm going to put some into the scuttle area where it can't be seen, I'm also going to put it on the rear of those metal carriers that the padded stuff goes on, I'm putting the padded stuff on as the ZT hasn't got any. I don't think it will detract from the factory look and it will make it very quiet inside, I've done loud in my younger years.

Those are called 'closing panels' - or "Panel-plenum closing" in Rimmer-speak.

Today I made a start on repairing a members tourer, it’s a bit crusty at the moment!
