It reads the same parameters from the ECU so it should be as accurate. I'm not sure if there may be a difference in the update rate, but any values should be identical.

Yes that's true, it's more whether the app/reader will provide any readings at all!

Sheraton - the MAP reads around 6.1PSI at idle. Atmos is 14.5, and at max boost read 22.7.
