Default ZT-T rear tailgate number plate holes...

Did these come from the factory with two pre-drilled holes with some form of grommets, or were they all plain-jane with nothing from the off, and all of the number plates I see on tourers have had the tailgates drilled into?

Thanks

My Contemporary SE Tourer they are drilled/self tapped holes - been trying to get the old screws removed but someone got there before me and the Posidrive heads are both rounded-out and the heads are hardened swear swear swear

Both my 75 tourer and ZT-T have the rear number plates stuck on, no screws involved (the ZT-T is still on MG Rover dealer plates). I haven't removed them, so I don’t know if there are any screw holes in the tailgate under the number plates (I will have to change the ZT-T plates soon as they are quite faded).

I'm so glad I don't have to deal with that sort of nonsense John
