I use TOAF on my Mac with WINE (which is the free codebase that Crossover is built on).

It was pretty much plug and play. Most awkward bit was installing the USB to RS232 driver under macOS. I used a cheapo VAG cable, as pictured above, with two pins bridged.

The VIS motors are under the engine module. You won't get anything up on the computer, and as it's a Mac I can call it a computer, so it's important to open the bonnet and listen for four sweeps of each motor. You might have to press the start button - a bit like when checking the fan (also under engine) but in that case you have to move the slider bar to approx. midway.

Good luck
Please excuse my ignorance but 'press the start button' and 'move the slider to midway? Do you mean in TOAF? I need to explore more deeply; I just read off the existing error codes.

Yep, exactly, within Toaf, engine module, control (I think) select cooling fan low speed and then you'll see the slider, move the curser to roughly the mid-way position and press start. If you move the slider all the way to the right then the fan will run at full throttle, unnecessary as you're just testing that it works on that speed. There are three speeds selections available low/medium/high to suit the original three speed fan.

It'll make more sense when you see it.

Yes, that was the trickiest thing for me too; I followed a guide from the Codeweaver forum though.
