Digital spirit levels
Any have and use a digital spirit level?
I am tempted to get one but reviews vary from web site to web site or the some model. Any recommendations for which one to get. Perhaps 2ft in length. I may want to build a frame on a floor to fill with concrete but need to get it level as the items to stand on it do not have any adjustment for uneven floors. macafee2 |

I've had this Bosch one for years:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OodNQHJlTDg I've found it to be excellent. Particularly the "beep" function when you can't really see the bubble/read-out because your head is under a shelf etc. Hope that helps. |

I have one of these;
https://www.laserlevelshop.co.uk/showdetails.asp?id=913 Use it alot at work and find it is very accurate, also a handy size for confined areas and easy to use. Hope that helps, Paul. |

I am concerned that a short spirit level will be less accurate then a long one but I am having second thoughts about the Bosch GIM 60 L.
Read something that as the laser dot gets further away I think the size increases. Where would you then measure from? Ringing Bosch now to ask. May be just the GIM 60 is the one to go for macafee2 |

Oops....
Sorry Ian, mine's a GIM 60, not a 60 L. That'll teach me to double check . I have a DeWalt DW088 cross line laser for longer distances etc. I'd certainly have another if/when it fails. Last edited by AndyN01; 4th May 2021 at 11:47.. |

Measure from the center of the dot. In my building days I've been responsible for the installation of more than 4,000 cubic metres of concrete. All done with a Laser level. That's well over 8,000 tons of concrete.-( ) |
