Try the old saviour, battery reset. Remove the negative terminal from the battery for 30 mins but make sure satnav (if fitted) is correctly shut down and radio code (if needed) is handy.

Yeah and some don't trigger the warning when they fail. Had that, LED sidelight failed and no bulb failure warning, presume the internal resistor conned the system into thinking the bulb was ok.

I had the battery off for over an hour last weekend and this did not work either.

I made the silly mistake of replacing a bulb while my car was running and in return the dashboard bulb out warning light is no longer working so my question is this, is this a push down LED that needs to be replaced within the IPK? or is this a possible fuse that has blown? this is for a Rover 75 Diesel.

Thanks
Silly mistake? I always do mine with the lights on, that way I can make sure its working

Did you then energise that circuit though?
It won't detect a failed bulb until you try to use it.

Try this:
Remove one of the brake light bulbs, turn the ignition on, put your foot on the brake pedal for 10 seconds or until the warning lamp lights.
